- I'm just one card away from completing my first set since I started this blog: the 2010 Topps 2020 inserts, to be exact. Okay, that's not really much of a set, but I have hope. I am celebrating by adding two additional insert sets to the sidebar that I hope to collect eventually: the 2008 Topps 50th Anniversary all-rookie team inserts and those goofy Propaganda inserts from 2009.
- Along the same lines, in the section on the sidebar is a list of all of my Ozzie Smith extras that I have for trade. In the more than 2 years that I've been running this operation, I have to get so much as a whisper of a trade going with these cards. I started organizing and collecting Ozzie's cards long before the thought had ever crossed my mind to go after an entire team's worth of stuff, and I've accumulated quite a few doubles and quintuples in the process. I have about another 100 cards or so to add to the list, but I'm considering taking it down and just lumping it with the rest of my Cardinals doubles (there are boxes and boxes!) unless this post manages to drum up some interest.
- Speaking of getting rid of things, I'm now starting to concentrate my collection purging efforts on the mass amounts of junk wax era football cards that I've accumulated over the years. I've found takers for three teams now, more or less, but if anyone else out there is interested in this junk go ahead and send me an e-mail.

New Wants, Old Trade Bait and Other Miscellany
Here's a brief, bulleted post tonight as I consider throwing my support behind the Yankees and Padres for the rest of the season...

Congratulations n being so close to finishing your insert set. I have about 5 I've been working on that I'll probably never finish.
ReplyDeleteIf you don't have a taker on the Pats yet, you know I want them.
TJ: Thanks. I'm working on pulling Pats for you right this minute.
