Impact Trade from Nachos Grande

Finally, I've arrived to packages received this year. I try to do the trade post thing in the order that I've received stuff from people. Unfortunately, even after I finally got to this package that Chris from Nachos Grande sent me a month ago, I still have 10 packages left to write about. (Thanks to everyone who's been sending me stuff lately and always. Don't stop sending the friendly manila envelopes.) Chris is one of the biggest traders out there and posts about as frequently as anyone that I make a habit of reading. Here are some Cardinals and other wantlist needs that he sent over.

I'm not sure why, but I kind of like these Impact cards. I admit to knowing absolutely nothing about this stuff, but my guess would be that it was a fairly low end product in its day. It looks similar to Pacific, but not as lousy and was made by Fleer/Skybox in the early '00s.

I picked up a few more needs for the 2009 Heritage set. The more binder slots I can fill through your kind packages, the better. I don't understand what the story is with guys named "Mat" all of a sudden. What's next - Bil? Jefrey (with one f?)

There were a few Allen & Ginter cards as well, which is equally as nice. Oddly enough, this is my first Yadier Molina National Pride card which means it's staying on my want list and going straight into my team binders.

Scott Rolen looks super serious here. I wouldn't mess with him. It'll be interesting to see what kind of year he has with Cincinnati, the official team of Nachos Grande. Hopefully the Cardinals can keep the Reds at bay for another season.

  1. GLad you liked the cards. You are correct, Impact was a no frills, low end set that I happened to buy a bunch of for some reason. I always liked the clean design with team logos I guess...

  2. I named a character "Jef" in the last script I wrote. He was named after this guy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EluXfEaODSw

Also, don't forget about Bil Keane and the lovable Family Circus!!!
