More Topps Cereal

I bought another Topps Cereal box recently. Even though there's only one Cardinal card I still need from the base Topps set, I'm trying to collect all of the Turkey Red inserts and I really want the Bob Gibson shiny gold chrome refractor thing. I have this Roberto Clemente now and a Cy Young mentioned in an earlier post. If anyone out there has a Gibson card and would like to trade for either of those two, please let me know. I'd prefer to trade the Clemente, though, since I know David has his eyes on Mr. Young.

Here's what I got in the rest of the box:

254 - Cito Gaston
24 - Frank Thomas
107 - Pedro Feliz
77 - Jed Lowrie (Why exactly did I draft him? I blame ESPN for brainwashing me.)
8 - Terry Francona
53 - Jonathan Sanchez (I watched Sanchez get lit up today against the Dodgers.)
130 - Vladimir Guerrero
154 - A.J. Pierzynski
212 - Denard Span
75 - Rich Harden
35 - David Price (RC)
140 - Brandon Webb

243 - Chase Headley
117 - Ron Gardenhire
255 - Joe Crede
295 - Derrek Lee
205 - Miguel Tejada
106 - Marlon Byrd
268 - Chris Burke (This kicks off 11 consecutive horizontal cards. The Padres picked up Burke in the offseason and traded him to Seattle for "cash considerations." Those considerations turned out to be $1.00. The Padres later re-acquired Burke from Seattle for more "cash considerations" - which turned out to be $1.25.)
173 - Manny Delcarmen
36 - Kevin Slowey
28 - Mike Lowell
5 - John Lackey
238 - Jorge Cantu
229 - Cesar Izturis
127 - Miguel Cabrera / Carlos Quentin / Alex Rodriguez AL HR Leaders
139 - Matt Stairs Postseason Highlights
147 - Ryan Howard / David Wright / Adrian Gonzalez NL RBI Leaders

157 - Brandon Webb / Dan Haren Desert Heat

180 - Cliff Lee Gold 0560 / 2009
TTT10 - Jake Peavy Topps Town (I'm not sure what the third T is for.)
LG11 - Lou Gehrig Legends of the Game

TR50 - Tris Speaker Turkey Red
315 - Hiroki Kuroda
248 - Scott Lewis (RC) (I guess this is a Cleveland box.)
231 - Xavier Nady (Ex-Portland Beavers look weird in pinstripes.)
134 - Evan Longoria AL ROY
217 - Albert Pujols NL MVP (Pujols has yet to reach base this series against the Reds, which is bizarre.)
208 - James McDonald (RC)
54 - Dusty Baker
84 - Rod Barajas
112 - Hideki Okajima
131 - Joe Torre
104 - Brandon Moss

96 - Dexter Fowler (RC) (Fowler's rookie season has gotten off to a nice start.)
138 - Ubaldo Jimenez
177 - Eric Hinske
298 - Jonathan Van Every
204 - Andy Sonnanstine
318 - Manny Acta
272 - Chan Ho Park
90 - Justin Morneau
304 - Jason Kubel
14 - Jon Rauch
245 - Pat Burrell

I'll be checking want lists to see if anyone still needs help completing their Topps series 1 base sets.

  1. Next time I'm in Target, I'm snagging a box to see if I can find the elusive gold Gibson for you.. :-)
