The Diamond King Delivers

The Diamond King has been firing off PWEs to all parts of the country lately, and probably even some other countries. Back in late March, the King sent over a few surprise random Cardinals that really made my day.

Brian Broderick was a late selection in the 2007 draft. The Nationals took him in the Rule 5 draft in 2010, which meant he had to stick in the majors the entire season or be offered back to the Cardinals, and the latter happened. But Broderick struggled mightily in AAA ball and the Cardinals cut him loose last season anyway. He's back with the Nats organization once again, but he is pitching at AA level. As an added bonus, this orange parallel is numbered 080/250.

I'll never get tired of watching Cardinals hold trophies!

It's always good to get an Ozzie Smith mini of any kind. I believe that minis are the future. Teach them well and let them lead the way.
