Ouch. I deviated from the uncut sheet of 1994 cards last week and it ended up being an unmitigated disaster for the Ducks. This week brings a return to the Smokey the Bear approved cards and hopefully a return to the win column for Mighty Oregon. The game is back home at Autzen Stadium and the opponent is UCLA, but the bigger story is not so much the team that the Ducks are playing as it is the man that is coaching that team: Rick "Neuweasel". I am really not going to go on a typical Duckfan (tm) style rant here, but suffice it to say that
Rick Neuheisel did a lot of unsportsmanlike things as a coach for past Ducks opponents and I really think he's a chump. Of course, whenever the coach becomes a bigger story than his team or the game itself, something is pretty wrong, so let's not forget that this is a football game played against UCLA. Go Ducks!
Alex Molden was a star DB for the Ducks who spent 8 years in the NFL with 3 teams. He was great. I can't really think of much more to say about him, especially when I keep staring at the Smokey Forest Fire Danger meter.
